The fineness plate is a flat steel block with grooves on the surface. The depth of the groove is zero from the maximum value at
one end to the end.
A scale unit indicating the depth of the groove is engraved on the steel block to read out the size of the particle value.
The scale unit H is the Hegman scale:

4 Hegman = 50 um
8 Hegman=0 um
