Buyer's notes:
A typical WD HDD PCB has a unique BIOS (ROM or NVRAM chip) that includes individual data to access the HDD system area. If the BIOS information is not compatible with the HDD, the HDD data cannot read. Therefore, we should use the BIOS of the original PCB when exchanging PCBs. BIOS CHIP SWAPPING is a must.
Before buying, please read:
1) This is just a PCB (printed circuit board), not the entire hard disk;
2) The PCB board number print on the board instead of being attached to the label;
3) These boards are used and removed, not brand new, all components on the board are not missing, and the interface is intact. All PCBs have tested before shipment;
4) Generally used for data recovery/repair of HDD, PCB board has been tested and works well. Cannot be returned/replaced after receiving the goods;
5) Because hard disk failures are not all caused by PCB failures. (It may also be a disk inside the hard drive, it may be ahead problem, or it may be a motor problem, etc.) We cannot guarantee that the hard disk will generally work only by replacing the PCB board;
6) As shown in the figure, you should replace the BIOS chip before replacing the PCB to make the replacement board compatible with your hard disk;
7) Non-professionals can consult the owner's circuit board before buying it, whether it is suitable for its hard disk model;
8) We do not recommend any professional hard disk technology knowledge, no tools and no skills to buy this board unless you can find a professional to help you deal. We are only responsible for providing a fully functional board.
There are different REV of WD PCB board: REV A/B/P1/P2, most of the different REV are compatible, do not request the main chip, smooth chip are other chips just the same; even different main&smooth&other chips are compatible. For seldom board number, you should specify the REV. Otherwise based we know it consistent, we will ship in random.
Instructions:
1. When you receive our board, switch it directly to your drive, test if your "drive" is powered, and if the disc is spinning.
2.1 If yes, then you must swap your BIOS chip to my motherboard, and your "drive" will run fine again.
2.2 If not, please recheck your drive problem, maybe other parts will have questions, just like a platter or a magnetic head. When you find that the board is not working correctly, it is not wise to open the dispute directly! Please contact the seller immediately. He will help you solve the problem!
